FRANCE 24 English published this video item, entitled “Crowds welcome ex-Ivory Coast president Gbagbo” – below is their description.<\/p>
Former president Laurent Gbagbo was returning to Ivory Coast on Thursday for the first time in nearly a decade, after he was cleared of crimes against humanity and his once-bitter rival welcomed him back in the name of reconciliation. Gbagbo, 76, arrived aboard a flight from Brussels to a tense atmosphere, with police using tear gas to disperse supporters near Abidjan airport. FRANCE 24 correspondent in Abidjan, Hannane Ferdjani, tells us more.<\/p>
