Weather: Typhoon Megi Update

Typhoon Megi is expected to reach the South East coast of China by Saturday 23rd October 2010, according to forecasts from Japan’s Meteorological Agency. Hong Kong is expecting to bear the brunt of the severe typhoon, which left 200,000 Philippine residents homeless and killed at least 20 people.

The forecast is as follows:

  • 20:00 HKT 21 October 2010, 20.2 N 117.1 E – Super Typhoon 185 km/h
  • 20:00 HKT 22 October 2010, 21.5 N 116.3 E – Super Typhoon 185 km/h
  • 20:00 HKT 23 October 2010, 22.6 N 115.3 E – Severe Typhoon 165 km/h

Another tropical depression is also currently forming in the Philippine Sea.
