Belgian designer Walter Van Beirendoncks Spring/Summer 2012 Menswear show in Paris this summer was very much a light-hearted affair.
Walter Van Beirendonck unveiled his Spring Summer 2012 collection for men in Paris last week.
The models’ hair had been whipped up into large bouffants and secured with combs to compliment a delightful array of 50’s inspired pastel coloured pant-suits.
Long Leather patchwork gloves were teamed with shredded cable knit slogan sweaters and high-waisted checked trousers and shorts.
And as if that wasn’t enough of a feast for the eyes the designer completed his collection with a curious selection of sculptural pieces. A walking green ball, a fluorescent pink cone shape and a fluffy blue and white cloud to name but a few all made from tufts of Tulle delicately made their way down the runway carefully trying not to wander into the front row.
By the end of the show there wasn’t a face in the room without a smile, which seems so in keeping on such a gloriously sunny day in Paris.
