UK Experiences Hottest October on Record

The UK has been experiencing unseasonably high temperatures with the hottest October since records began. The UK’s Met office named Gravesend in Kent as the new record holder with a temperature recording of 29.9 °C, beating the previous high of 29.4 °C recorded at March in Cambridgeshire in 1985.

Wales has record a new national record for October temperatures with Hawarden in Flintshire setting the bar at 28.2 °C. The previous Welsh record had also been set on 1st October 1985 at Ruthin, Denbighshire, with a temperature of 26.4 °C.
