The Soho Grand Hotel in NYC has just introduced new luxury suites for families on the move. The ten airy spaces can accommodate up to six adults and have beautiful views over the city.
Vintage rugs and recycled newspapers take place alongside velvet, silk, leather and steel in the newly created living accommodation.
Interior designer Bill Sofield explains:
“With the design of the suites for the 16th floor, we took advantage of the incredibly expansive views, bringing the relationship of the city right into the rooms. To impart a more personal experience, the layout of each suite was carefully considered to create spaces for entertaining, relaxing and working. The final result is a place guests should feel right at home, albeit with all the amenities of a five star hotel.”
The tables were inspired by renowned artist Jasper Johns and the master bathroom wall covering was designed by famed New Yorker illustrator, Saul Steinberg.
Forget collections of leaflets promoting the local sightseeing activities – the new Soho Grand luxury suites are equipped with a pre-loaded iPad. There are also iPod docks & speakers, wall-mounted flat-screen plasma televisions and 27-inch iMacs for the modern traveveller who needs to stay connected.
For those concerned about privacy, the elevator will only deliver guests to the private 16th floor of the Soho Grand with a special key card.
Prices for the 16th floor suites at the Soho Grand Hotel start at $1,150 per night.
