Teledyne Technologies Win $595 Million Missile Defence Simulation Contract

A subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies has won a $595 million contract to deliver a test and simulation framework to the United States’ Missile Defence Agency. Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc. will have five years to honour the Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to support simulations, ground tests and live fire events.

It is hoped that the company will be able to use development of the hardware and software in other sectors. “We expect similar test technologies will have use in other markets we serve including energy, marine, aviation, space and environmental applications” said Robert Mehrabian, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of Teledyne Technologies.

The Alabama-based engineering company begins the contract on 1st September 2011.
