Women’s History Month: Celebrating female sports pioneers presented by Adidas | Women + Sport

ESPN published this video item, entitled “Women’s History Month: Celebrating female sports pioneers presented by Adidas | Women + Sport” – below is their description.

Welcome to Women + Sports presented by Adidas! On International Women’s Day, Christine Williamson leads us in celebrating the women who paved the way, as well as the current generation of superstars. This women-lead show features impactful conversations from women who have broken barriers. We speak with Candice Story Lee, the Athletic Director at Vanderbilt, about being one of five female athletic directors in Power 5. We’re joined by Elana Meyers Taylor, the most decorated black winter Olympic athlete, fresh off her silver-medal win in bobsled at the 2022 Beijing Olympics. ESPN’s very own Chiney Ogwumike sat down with Christine earlier in the week to talk how she not only is a full-time basketball analyst but also a current WNBA player and two time All-Star. Former UFC Bantamweight Champion, Meisha Tate, shares her insight on how women have led the UFC to become one of the most pay-equitable sports. To close, we’re joined by special musical guest, Rapsody, whose song is the main soundtrack to our whole show.
