Wendy Shaeffer & Koyuna Sun Dancer win Australian International 3 Day Event

Local girl and former Olympic Gold medallist Wendy Shaeffer and her Koyuna Sun Dancer thrilled the Adelaide crowd of almost 20,000 by winning the prestigious Australian International 3 Day Event yesterday. Wendy and Sun Dancer were placed 4th after the dressage phase, climbed one place to 3rd after cross country, and then jumped a super clear round to edge out Chris Burton from NSW riding Newsprint. Wendy capped off a fantastic weekend by also placing third on her Koyuna Sun Shine.

In the CIC 2* star class, Shane Rose on the stallion Statford Neo won the event ahead of Robert Palm on Koko Black, and Tim Boland on Mercator Du Ry.

The CCI2* was won by Chris Burton and Haruzac.
