Eurosport published this video item, entitled “Thomas De Gendt: Breakaway king delivers sensational win on stage 8 | Last KM | 2022 Giro d’Italia” – below is their description.

From the top of the Stelvio to the seaside in Napoli – Thomas De Gendt is a stage winner again on the Giro d’Italia 10 years after his maiden triumph in 2012. The Belgian defied the returning Mathieu van der Poel and Biniam Girmay to win from a four-man move as Lotto Soudal got the stage win that has so far eluded them through sprinter Caleb Ewan.
