Early on the second day of the final Ashes 2009 test between England and Australia, the hosts were back in the pavillion after Broad edged to Ricky Ponting at slip. England had totalled 332 for their first innings.
The pitch, at the Brit Oval, is beginning to break up slightly, and Englands bowlers will be encouraged by the hints of movement which the Australian bowlers managed to produce in the air this morning.
The powerful Siddle was once again the pick of the Australian bowling attack, but Hilfenhaus and Mitchell Johnson both made valuable contributions.
This Aussies team led by Ricky ponting, looks like loosing their charm. Ponting and his men are on the verge of losing another Ashes series after 2005. If one goes by the stats, this series, best bowling performance is by Hil’nus from Australia, best batting performance is by M’clarke. Yet they managed a single win and a draw. It’s goes to show that England impoved a lot in terms of team work rather than rely on individual perfomances. Well done England..
