Rugby Europe Championship Roundup | Germany and Georgia get wins

The 2017 Rugby Europe Championship first round gave us one surprise with Germany coming from behind to beat Romania for the first time since 1938. Germany’s game finished 41-38. Georgia also beat newly-promoted Belgium in Brussels in front of a near sell-out crowd at the Stade Roi Baudouin. Fullback Merab Kvirikashvili, flanker Giorgi Tkhilaishvili and centre Giorgi Koshadze all got on the scoresheet. Final scoreline 31-6.
