Classic Clash: Wales v Italy 2006 | RBS 6 Nations

Wales hosted bottom of the table Italy in the fourth round of the 2006 RBS 6 Nations.

Powerful winger Mark Jones scored an early try after some great hands from the Welsh backline. It took the Italians only four minutes to hit back however as Italian full back Ezio Galon touched down, with the TMO confirming the try!

Wales and Italy scored a further try each before half time through Stephen Jones and Pablo Canacosio to leave the scores level heading into the break.

Both sides scored a single penalty goal in the second half and the Italians held on for a famous 18 point-all draw, and their first away Championship point!
