Italy have unveiled a new home kit designed by PUMA, which they will wear on 15th November 2011 in an international games against Uruguay. Italy head coach Cesare Prandelli, Gianluigi Buffon and Andrea Pirlo were in Rome to receive the new designs. The match on Tuesday night will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy. The national squad will be received in the President’s palace at the Quirinale, where Silvio Berlusconi tendered his resignation not 48 hours ago.
Uruguay present a formidable challenge, having won the America’s Cup and coming fourth in the World Cup. In previous meets, the two sides have reached a state of equilibrium, with two wins apiece and three draws. The two last clashed in 2002 in Milan where the score ended 1-1 with goals from Panucci and Abreu.
