Horse Racing Results: Meydan, January 12 2012, Race 2, 19:05 Etisalat My Plan

The second race at Meydan, UAE, on January 12th 2012, was the 19:05 Etisalat My Plan event run over 1400M (approximately 7 furlongs) on the all weather – or tapeta – surface.

The race was won by Richard Hills on board Sheik Hamdan Al Maktoum’s Doug Watson trained gelding Barbecue Eddie, who won this sprint event a little cosily, by nearly two lengths easing down.

In second was Ariete Arrollador under Mirco Demuro, who was in turn three quarters of a length up on Russian Rock who finished third under a Wayne Smith ride.

Barbecue Eddie collected winners prize money of USD $66,000 from this event, which had a total prize pool of USD 110,000.
