Its mainly late afternoon and evening all weather fare on Friday 6th January 2017, as only one turf National Hunt meeting is taking place, at Wetherby.
There will also be all weather flat racing at Kempton, Wolverhampton and across the Irish Sea in Dundalk.
Nap of the Day for Friday goes at Dundalk for Joesph O’Brien under Anastasia O’Brien – Inescapable, which was priced at 7/1 in the afternoon, having been as high as 12/1 overnight. This horse improved for each start over similar trips on the turf. After a short break, a little improvement can be expected, and the price makes for a great each way opportunity under the jockey’s 5lb claim. This race won’t take much winning.
Next Best is given as Lucymai who returns to the scene of s debut success for Dean Ivory, after a short break. If fit enough and fully firing, a price of 16/1 seems like good each way value, a view shared by many, who have backed this filly in to 7/1. Talented Robert Winston rides.
All selections for Friday with early prices are detailed below.
