UK & Irish Horse Racing Tips, Friday 12 June 2015

Forty seven horse races are scheduled for the afternoon and evening of Friday 12th June in Britain and Ireland.

An afternoon of flat racing takes place on the turf at York and Sandown, while a card of summer jumps will take place at Newton Abbot.

Evening meetings at Goodwood and Chepstow feature flat racing on the turf. There will also be jumps cards at Aintree and in Ireland at Clonmel in the evening, on an action-packed Friday.

Best Four Bets

Our ratings analysts have been through the cards to select the Best Four Bets for this Friday, arriving at the following selections.

The first choice for Friday is in the last race at Newton Abbot, the 17:05 handicap hurdle over an extended two miles, where we select Jayo Time at an expected price of 7/1. This horse put in a performance on his penultimate start which would be good enough to at least make the frame at these weights, assuming a return to 2 miles isn’t too much on the sharp side.

Our next selection runs in the 20:50 at Clonmel, Deputy’s Pass, which on paper looks to be a cut above in this bumper. While this horse found one too good the last twice, it has been beaten by good sorts on both occasions, and faces a more exposed field here. 2/1 represents value as a result.

Our third choice for the day goes in the 14:20 at Newton Abbot, and is another tip from us for No No Cardinal which we selected for a last-time-out success too. The time and performance from this horse’s penultimate run at Wincanton was in fact better than the win last time out, but a repeat of either performance in similar conditions today should see another win, assuming there is no improvement in this field. A likely price of 11/4.

The final selection for Friday is back at Conmel where we select Diamond Dame in the 20:15 handicap chase. This horse looks like starting as favourite, at a price of around 13/8 – with good reason, each of the previous two performances this horse has produced would be more than enough to win what on paper looks a weak race.

Other notable runners for the day include the Mark Johnston trained trio of Secret Ambition (13/8, 14:00 York), Bizzario (10/1, 19:35 Goodwood), and Subversive (10/3, 20:45 Goodwood); and also the Jonjo O’Neil runners on the flat at York, Edmaaj (28/1, 14:30 York) and She’s Late (16/1, 16:40 York) both of whom look on paper to have a good chance at double figure prices.
