UK Horse Racing Tips: Wednesday 14 December 2016

Four race meetings are scheduled to take place across Britain on Wednesday December 14th 2016. In the afternoon, National Hunt at Musselburgh and Newbury and all weather flat at Lingfield; while the early evening will see eight floodlit races on Kempton’s all weather flat course.

Fortuno has cast his expert eye over today’s cards, after yesterday’s tips saw a winner and three placed horses at good each-way prices, to arrive at six selection’s for Wednesday’s racing.

Nap of the Day is given as Captain Pugwash which is an early price of 4/1 for the 4.05 event at Kempton Park under Liam Keniry. This Henry Spiller trained 2 year old cast a shoe in an eye-catching debut at this course over 7f. Today’s trip of 6f looks even more suitable, and, assuming he keeps all four boots on today, is a good price to make the frame with the experience of that day under his belt.

Next Best for Wednesday is Creep Desbois which runs in the 3.10 event at Newbury. This horse runs for the Ben Pauling yard, who are on the up-and-up, and will be ridden by David Bass. Ran well in bumpers for Oliver Sherwood before changing hands for £50,000 in the summer. This is a touch introduction to hurdles, but a price of 10/1 is good each-way value. Would not need to have improved a great deal to make the frame, and early morning support is another positive.

Also worthy of note are the well supported Screaming Gemini (Kempton 5.10) and Encore Moi (Kempton 6.40) who are both now trading at around 2/1 from higher prices. Both warrant respect from powerful yards.
