UK Horse Racing Tips: Tuesday 20 December 2016

There are three UK race meetings to take place on Tuesday 20th December 2016, with a National Hunt meeting at Taunton and two flat all weather cards, at Kempton and Southwell.

Racing tips for today are provided below, from The Global Herald tipster Fortuno who yesterday tipped four horses, three of which made the frame, with a win (11/4) and two second places. Another four selections are provided for Tuesday.

Nap of the Day is given as Master of Song which runs in the 12.30 at Southwell. This horse has won five times over this track on the all weather, including last time at the course, off a higher weight. With claimer Kevin Lundie taking 7lbs off, a tongue-tie refitted, and a favourite track, conditions appear just right again today. Allied to the fact that there don’t appear to be many in-form horses in this race, and this appears on paper a nice opportunity to notch win number 6 at the course.

Next Best for Tuesday is also on the all weather, this time at Kempton, in the 2.40 5f Handicap, where the selection is Come On Dave. This John Butler trained 7 year old gelding has not set the world alight this season, but has, in previous years, won similar events off a much larger weight. A return to old form under Liam Keniry from today’s plumb draw would see him make the frame. A price of 10/1 seems a reasonable each-way gamble.

All four tips for Tuesday’s racing, along with early morning prices, are detailed below.

UK Horse Racing Tips: Tuesday 20 December 2016

  • 2.20 Taunton – Tehan Cross – 10/1

  • 3.20 Taunton – Comical Red – 16/1
