The Verdict: Ayr Gold Cup, Mostahdaf, Zechariah and more | Racing TV

Racing TV published this video item, entitled “The Verdict: Ayr Gold Cup, Mostahdaf, Zechariah and more | Racing TV” – below is their description.

Racing TV presenter Angus McNae uses his form and sectional timing expertise to analyse the biggest races of the past week, including the £150,000 Virgin Bet Ayr Gold Cup won by Bielsa for jockey Kevin Stott and trainer Kevin Ryan.

We also take a look at the highly-regarded Mostahdaf bouncing back for Listed victory in the Chasemore Farm Fortune Stakes at Sandown and the juvenile Damaar, also housed in the John Gosden stable and one it could pay to note.

Further races to fall under the microscope include the Haynes, Hanson & Clark Conditions Stakes – a race with a rich history and landed by Zechariah for the Martyn Meade stable under Tom Marquand – as well as the Listed Dubai Duty Free Cup Stakes won in good style by the smart and progressive filly Silent Escape for Oisin Murphy, Saeed bin Suroor and Godolphin.

And what to make of the gelded Al Aasy? The Coronation Cup runner-up could not justify odds-on favouritism against Solid Stone in the Group 3 Dubai Duty Free Legacy Cup Stakes – formerly known as the Newbury Arc Trial – and Angus McNae offers his views on what the future might hold for the smart performer – but nevertheless one who is in danger of quickly becoming underwhelming for trainer William Haggas and Shadwell Estate Company.

In This Story: Ireland

Ireland is an island in the North Atlantic. It is separated from Great Britain to its east by the North Channel, the Irish Sea, and St George’s Channel.

Geopolitically, Ireland is divided between the Republic of Ireland (officially named Ireland), which covers five-sixths of the island, and Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom. As of 2016, 4.8 million people live in the Republic of Ireland, and 1.8 million live in Northern Ireland.

The Irish climate is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and thus very moderate, and winters are milder than expected for such a northerly area, although summers are cooler than those in continental Europe. Rainfall and cloud cover are abundant.

A strong Irish culture exists, as expressed through Gaelic games, Irish music and the Irish language. The island’s culture shares many features with that of Great Britain, including the English language, and sports such as association football, rugby, horse racing, and golf.
