Racing TV published this video item, entitled “The great DESERT ORCHID dominates in the 1988 Tingle Creek at Sandown – Racing TV” – below is their description.

The Betfair Tingle Creek Chase was a handicap back in 1988 and Dessie, carrying 12st, had to concede 18lb and more to his rivals. But the mighty grey, sent off at 5/2, was in a league of his own. Vodkatini, the 2/1 favourite, probably realised what was to come – he refused to race!
