Recent from Racing TV:
Racing TV published this video item, entitled “SEA THE STARS completes the Guineas/Derby double with success over Fame And Glory at Epsom in 2009” – below is their description.
Sea The Stars becomes the first horse since Nashwan in 1989 to follow up in the Derby after winning the 2000 Guineas. The morning favourite was superceded in the betting just before the off by Fame And Glory, who was sent off 9/4 favourite and finished second, but in the closing stages, Sea The Stars gave his supporters little cause for worry as he struck the front with two furlongs to run and ran home strongly to win by a length and three-quarters.
His victory gave trainer John Oxx his second Derby win following Sinndar’s triumph in 2000 while jockey Mick Kinane was notching his third success in the race, having also won on Commander In Chief in 1993 and on Sea The Stars’ half-brother Galileo in 2001.
This was to become the second of six Group Ones for Sea The Stars, retired at the end of this season after confirming himself the best of his generation between a mile and a mile and a half.

In This Story: Ireland
Geopolitically, Ireland is divided between the Republic of Ireland (officially named Ireland), which covers five-sixths of the island, and Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom. As of 2016, 4.8 million people live in the Republic of Ireland, and 1.8 million live in Northern Ireland.
The Irish climate is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and thus very moderate, and winters are milder than expected for such a northerly area, although summers are cooler than those in continental Europe. Rainfall and cloud cover are abundant.
A strong Irish culture exists, as expressed through Gaelic games, Irish music and the Irish language. The island’s culture shares many features with that of Great Britain, including the English language, and sports such as association football, rugby, horse racing, and golf.
