    Winner of the 2000 Guineas as a three-year-old, Refuse To Bend was bought to join Godolphin at the end of that campaign, and supplied Saeed bin Suroor with victories in the Queen Anne at Ascot and this race in 2007.

    He died of a heart attack at stud in France, aged 12.

    Ireland is an island in the North Atlantic. It is separated from Great Britain to its east by the North Channel, the Irish Sea, and St George’s Channel.
