Racing TV published this video item, entitled “LUXEMBOURG wins the €1m Irish Champion Stakes!” – below is their description.
Vindication on the biggest stage.
Luxemboug, last season’s champion juvenile with such a lofty reputation and coming off an injury-plagued campaign prepared for the €1m Irish Champion Stakes by scraping home on his long-awaited return in a Group 3 contest at the Curragh last month.
Yet the Camelot colt has delivered in Ireland’s pre-eminent Flat race and at it’s most prestigious fixture – the Irish Champion Stakes on Longines Irish Champions Weekend – to give master trainer Aidan O’Brien an 11th success in the great race and a fourth triumph in a row.
Watch how events unfolded and hear from jockey Ryan Moore and O’Brien in conversation with Racing TV’s Fran Berry and Tom Stanley.

Ireland is an island in the North Atlantic. It is separated from Great Britain to its east by the North Channel, the Irish Sea, and St George’s Channel.
Geopolitically, Ireland is divided between the Republic of Ireland (officially named Ireland), which covers five-sixths of the island, and Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom. As of 2016, 4.8 million people live in the Republic of Ireland, and 1.8 million live in Northern Ireland.
The Irish climate is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean and thus very moderate, and winters are milder than expected for such a northerly area, although summers are cooler than those in continental Europe. Rainfall and cloud cover are abundant.
A strong Irish culture exists, as expressed through Gaelic games, Irish music and the Irish language. The island’s culture shares many features with that of Great Britain, including the English language, and sports such as association football, rugby, horse racing, and golf.
Luxembourg is a small European country, surrounded by Belgium, France and Germany. It’s mostly rural, with dense Ardennes forest and nature parks in the north, rocky gorges of the Mullerthal region in the east and the Moselle river valley in the southeast. Its capital, Luxembourg City, is famed for its fortified medieval old town perched on sheer cliffs.
