Huge performance! William Haggas’ Alenquer was last seen in the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe when ninth in October, but bounced back at Lingfield Park to win the Group 3 Betway Winter Derby Stakes in good style under Cieren Fallon.

The favourite Lord North, who had been off the track for 366 days, finished in second under Rab Havlin for the Gosdens.
