His third Group One victory in a sequence of five, Giant’s Causeway knuckles down to take the Champagne Lanson Sussex Stakes by three-quarters of a length from fellow joint-favourite Dansili.

Already victorious in the St. James’s Palace Stakes and the Coral Eclipse, he

would go on to take the Juddmonte International and the Irish Champion Stakes, before his winning streak came to an end in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot, where he had to settle for second behind Observatory.
