Gstaad Palace were the triumphant team in the first chukkas at Gstaad on Thursday 18th August with a 6 – 5.5 victory over Banque Baring Brothers Sturdza. Both team had battled through the first rounds with 4-1 wins apiece before facing one another for the final match of the day. Gualtiero Giori and Tete Storni of Italy, along with Franckie and Eduardo Menendez of Argentina, earned their prizes at the sunny afternoon prize ceremony with a stunning display of horsemanship.

The Hublot Polo Gold Cup runs from 18th – 21st August 2011 in the Alpine resort of Gstaad in Switzerland.
