Tiger Woods is back in action at the newly-dubbed Genesis Invitational, where J.B. Holmes defends. The tournament could come down to tournament host Woods versus Bubba Watson as Tiger fights for a record-breaking 83rd PGA TOUR victory and Bubba goes in search of victory No. 4 at Riviera Country Club. This is the first year the tournament will be played as an invitational with all top five players in the world in the 120-strong field. Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson join Woods and Watson to fight for the 500 FedExCup points that goes to the winner. Who will emerge victorious?

Justin Louis Thomas is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour and is former World Number One. In 2017, Thomas experienced a breakout year, winning five PGA Tour events, including the PGA Championship, his maiden major championship, and also winning the FedEx Cup championship. In May 2018, Thomas became the 21st player to top the Official World Golf Ranking.

At the Ryder Cup, he played for Europe against the United States in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2018, with Europe winning in 2010, 2012, 2014, and 2018. For his individual and team achievements he has twice been named RTÉ Sports Person of the Year, in 2011 and 2014.
