Golf – Ryder Cup 2010: Europe Lead 9.5 to 6.5 After Fourballs

Europe stormed back into contention following a number of key wins over the USA in today’s Ryder Cup action as the foursomes and fourballs saw Europe claim a three point lead following Sunday’s action at Celtic Manor.

Europe Lead 9.5 to 6.5 after the third day of the 2010 Ryder Cup. Monday will see the singles, rescheduled following Friday’s bad weather.

Luke Donald and Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell won in the fourballs, while Padraig Harrington & Ross Fisher and Miguel Angel Jimenez & Peter Hanson won in their foursomes.

Ian Poulter and Martin Kaymer also won for Europe, before Francesco and Eduardo Molinari got a half in their match with Stewart Cink and Matt Kuchar.

Europe now require 14.5 points in the singles, tomorrow, to win the Ryder Cup.
