Chantilly is famed for its picturesque racecourse, and for the second year in a row, the world’s top showjumpers will descend on the hallowed turf for yet another showjumping extravaganza.
The Global Champions Tour carries the richest purse in showjumping. The Grand Prix, the major feature event of the show, will shell out a total of €248,000 in prize money.
The Grand Prix was won last year by American Laura Kraut on her grey mount Cedric. It’s somewhat of a womens feast at Chantilly, with the top 3 placings in 2010 being won by women, Kraut, France’s Penelope Levrevost, and Australian Edwina Alexander.
