Football: UEFA Champions League 2011 Round of 16 1st Leg Results, Tuesday 22 February

Two UEFA Champions League matches were played on the evening of Tuesday 22nd February 2011, as four teams battled it out in the opening leg of their Round of 16 matches.

FC Copenhagen 0-2 Chelsea

Chelsea got off to a good start in their Round of 16 match with Copenhagen by picking up two away goals courtesy of Anelka (17,54) who scored in each half.

The away team dominated possession and were well worth their victory.

Lyon 1-1 Real Madrid

There will be plenty to play for in the Bernabeu in the second leg of this match, as Lyon managed to reply to Benzema’s 65th minute away goal with a finish from Gomis on 83 minutes to keep this match level.

The match finished 1-1.
