FA United of Manchester’s 2011 FA Cup was over yesterday evening, Wednesday 8th December 2010, as they exited the tournament at home to Brighton & Hove Albion, going down to a 4-0 defeat courtesy of two goals in either half, in their 2nd Round Replay match.

This visitors, Brighton, opened the scoring on 25 minutes courtesy of Sandaza, before Calderon doubled their lead three minutes into first half stoppage time.

The turning point of the game came early in the second half, however, when FC United looked to have grabbed a lifeline by winning a penalty. However, it was not to be, as Cotterill missed the spot kick, and Brighton added a further two goals via Bennett and Sparrow in the final five minutes.
