Manchester City confirmed that their record signing, Sergio Aguero, 24, is to stay with the Barclays Premier League club for a further four years after the Argentine put pen to paper on a lucrative contract extension.
Sergio Leonel “Kun” Agüero del Castillo joined Man City in 2011, from Atletico Madrid of the Primera Division, before helping the blues to lift the 2011/12 Barclays Premier League title. Aguero was instrumental in that title victory, scoring a last-gasp goal at QPR which gave the club their first top-flight crown in over 40 years.
The player has scored 47 goals from 69 starts for Man City.
Aguero’s new contract will see him remain at the North West English club until at least 2017.
The Global Herald do not yet know the precise terms of the contract.
