Manchester City yesterday evening completed the signing of Edin Dzeko from Wolfsburg for a fee believed to be IRO £27million GBP.

Dzeko joins the Barclays Premier League club on a contract of four and a half years, though he was not registered in time to feature for the Eastlands outfit in this weekend’s FA Cup 2011 Third Round tie against Leicester City.

Dzeko scored 66 coals in 111 games for the German Bundesliga outfit, as well as bagging 17 goals in 31 appearances for his native Bosnia.

While he misses the FA Cup game, the 24 year old is thought to be ready to take part in City’s Premier League match at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers, next week.
