As part of Mental Health Awareness Week we spoke with London Bees player Courtnay Ward about the battles she has faced. Having meningitis as a child which resulted in brain damage, Courtnay battled back against the odds to return to playing football, having thought she will never walk again. Unfortunately Courtnay was again diagnosed with meningitis in 2020, we caught up with her to hear her story.
