Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Fixtures for Saturday 14 September

There are eight Barclays Premier League 2013/14 matches scheduled for the afternoon and evening of Saturday 14th September 2013.

The day begins with the champions, Manchester United (7th), hosting newly promoted Crystal Palace (14th) at Old Trafford. United have yet to fully hit their stride under new manager David Moyes, and will be looking to get back on track against Ian Holloway’s tricky Palace side to maintain their push for another title, after falling to a 1-0 loss to fierce rivals, Liverpool.

There is likely to be a new team at the top of the table come the end of the day, as Manchester City (3rd) travel to Stoke (5th), with both sides on six points – three adrift of top-of-the-table Liverpool (1st) who don’t play until Monday evening (away at Swansea (16th)).

Of the other teams within a win of the top of the table, Chelsea (currently 2nd on 7 points) travel to Everton in the late kick-off match, while Arsenal (4th, 6 points) travel to lacklustre Sunderland (19th) knowing their Local rivals Spurs (6th, on 6 points) have a home fixture with Norwich City (9th).

At the foot of the table, Fulham (17th) host West Brom (20th) with a likely place outside of the drop zone the prize for any victor.

Newcastle (12th) travel to Aston Villa (13th) in what looks like being a 6-pointer between these two inconsistent sides: there is just a point between them.

Promoted sides Hull (18th) entertain Cardiff City (11th) in the other three o’clock fixture this afternoon.
