Sarr was outstanding, in particular with his second goal, and the presence of mind he displayed to tee up captain Deeney for the third which put things beyond doubt.
Watford have looked too good to go down for a while, this season, producing good performances without getting the points they deserved. On this Saturday evening, they got what they deserved: three points which ended Liverpool’s outstanding unbeaten run.
The result probably won’t change the outcome of the league for Liverpool, but it surely might for Watford – they’ll take a huge amount from this excellent performance.
