Alphonso Davies’ story is no ordinary one. Born in Ghana, brought up in Canada and now a Bundesliga star. At just 15, Davies signed his first professional contract with the Vancouver Whitecaps and played in the MLS. His talent was spotted early on and he was part of the Canadian team that recorded a historic first victory over the USA in 34 years. In the Bundesliga, he’s shown since his move to FC Bayern München in 2019 that he has the qualities and the potential to become one of the best full-backs in the world. Canada is a parliamentary democracy and a constitutional monarchy in the Westminster tradition, with a monarch and a prime minister who serves as the chair of the Cabinet and head of government.
As a highly developed country, Canada has the seventeenth-highest nominal per-capita income globally as well as the thirteenth-highest ranking in the Human Development Index. Its advanced economy is the tenth-largest in the world, relying chiefly upon its abundant natural resources and well-developed international trade networks.
