Even Cristiano Ronaldo has sung the praises of Eintracht Frankfurt’s André Silva. The striker is having the season of his life and has fired his team to the verge of a first-ever UEFA Champions League qualification. The 25-year-old is an all-rounder in the penalty area and knows exactly where he has to be to put away chances with aplomb. His 23 goals after 28 matchdays is already the most by any Portuguese player in a Bundesliga campaign and within reach of Eintracht legend Bernd Hölzenbein’s club record for a season. Although Silva’s career path hasn’t been easy, he’s now up there with the best strikers in the league and is targeting a title defence with Portugal at this summer’s Euros.
