BREAKING! Lionel Messi fails to report for Barcelona coronavirus testing

Lionel Messi fails to report for Barcelona coronavirus testing according to Sky Sports Football, in this report.

This means the player won’t be able to take part in pre-season training with the rest of the squad, which begins tomorrow – Monday 31 August 2020.

Lionel Messi has failed to report for coronavirus testing at Barcelona’s training complex as he continues his battle to leave the club.

Messi’s decision not to attend means he will be unable to participate in Ronald Koeman’s first training session as Barcelona’s new manager on Monday afternoon.

Sky Sports’ reporter, Gary Cotterill, told how “his [Messi’s] heart is set on leaving, his head is set on leaving… he wants to join Man City and Pep Guardiola.”

Messi apparently believes he has a clause in his contract which will allow him to leave the club. The club, by several accounts, disagree with this take.

What do you think – has Messi set his stall out to leave Barca? Where will he be heading? Leave your comments below. Note, comments are moderated before publication.
