FIFA World Cup 2010: Portugal 23 Man Squad (Revised)

Fifa world cup 2010: portugal 23 man squad (revised) 1Portugal have named the 23 man squad they are to be taking to the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Portuguese coach Carlos Quieroz has named a squad featuring a mixture of home-based players and players who play their club football around other parts of Europe.

The world’s attention will focus on the most expensive player, Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid, who will be expected to star with his free kicks and an impressive all round game.

Note that Nani (Manchester United, England) has been replaced by Ruben Amorim (Benfica, Portugal) after Nani suffered a collar bone injury the week before World Cup 2010.

Portugal will be hoping to qualify for the latter stages from the difficult Group G which features Brazil, Ivory Coast and North Korea.
