FIFA World Cup 2010: Ivory Coast 23 Man Squad

Fifa world cup 2010: ivory coast 23 man squad 1The Ivory Coast – Cote d’Ivoire – have selected their 23 man squad to travel to South Africa for this summer’s 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Coach Sven Goran Eriksson has selected a squad which features a number of European based players and only one, Daniel Yeboah, who plays his football in the Cote D’Ivoire.

Didier Drogba – though currently an injury worry – is undoubtedly the Ivory Coast star man as the Chelsea player has had a phenomenal season winning a domestic double in the UK, where he was the Barclays Premier League Golden Boot for 2009/2010 too. His fitness for the tournament may well be the key to his nation’s success or failure.

The Ivory Coast have a tricky group in Group G, which features powerhouses Brazil and Portugal as well as the relatively unknown quantity of North Korea (Korea DPR).
