North Korea saw a tight first half performance disappear as they were blown away by Portugal in this afternoon’s FIFA World Cup 2010 Group G encounter.
Portugal, who led 1-0 at half time, went through the gears as DPR Korea fell away to lift this match by a remarkable 7-0 scoreline.
The final score, which will probably be the biggest victory of the 2010 tournament, came courtesy of goals from Raul Meireles (29), Simao (53) Almeida (56), Tiago (60, 89) Liedson (81), Ronaldo (87).
Portugal were impressive, once they broke down Korean resistance, and their final match of the group against Brazil is set to be an entertaining affair though with Spain set to possibly qualify in second following their shock defeat at the hands of Switzerland, it might not be a bad result for either side should they lose that match. Fascinating.
