Michael Jung’s Sam – Olympic Champion, Eventing Legend, and a good Friend | Horse of a Lifetime

We have started a series on the stars of yesteryear, and today, we are looking at triple Olympic champion Sam. Perhaps the most successful Eventing horse of them all, Sam won everything during his glorious partnership with German star Michael Jung that lasted more than a decade. Most famously, they won three Olympic golds and a silver at the 2012 and 2016 Games. They completed the Team and Individual double in London and won Individual gold and Team silver in Rio. Michael Jung: “He is a special personality and a very good friend of me. I think no horse is better than him.”

Magnificent, courageous and energetic – La Biosthetique Sam is worthy of celebration! With Michael Jung, he stole our hearts and gave us the most magical moments in FEI Eventing history!
