The Tour de France is an annual men’s multiple stage bicycle race primarily held in France, while also occasionally passing through nearby countries. Like the other Grand Tours (the Giro d’Italia and the Vuelta a España), it consists of 21 day-long stages over the course of 23 days. It has been described as “the world’s most prestigious and most difficult bicycle race.”

Mercredi 30 septembre, les meilleurs puncheuses et puncheurs du monde auront eu une première occasion de livrer bataille dans les Ardennes avec la Flèche Wallonne. L’ascension de la côte du chemin des Gueuses y sera inédite pour les hommes comme pour les femmes. Longue de 1,8 km et présentant une pente moyenne de 6,5%, elle remplace la côte de Cherave sur le circuit final tracé autour du Mur de Huy. The world’s best puncheurs, male and female, will race the Flèche Wallonne on Wednesday, April 22nd. The riders participating in the Flèche Wallonne will face an unprecedented climb with the introduction of the côte du chemin des Gueuses in the final loop around Huy.
