Cecilia Brækhus targets record-breaking victory on August 15 vs Jessica McCaskill

History in the making? Or changing of the guard?

Undisputed Welterweight ruler Cecilia Brækhus puts it all on the line against unified Super-Lightweight champion Jessica McCaskill on August 15, and if successful, will break the all-time record for consecutive World title defenses – a record set by Joe Louis and has stood for over 72 years.

In her first Matchroom feature, Brækhus says she is ‘incredibly proud’ to stand at the forefront of women’s boxing, and looks to elevate the sport ‘to new levels’ after her headline fight in Tulsa, OK to mark Eddie Hearn’s stateside return on DAZN.
