Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing Look to Build on Success in Round Britain and Ireland Race

Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing team are looking to build on their success in the Round Britain and Ireland Race as they prepare for the Volvo Ocean Race.

The yachting team won a blistering victory in the monohull class under skipper Ian Walker, who commented:

“While this has been a great race and a great result, our main focus will always be the Volvo Ocean Race and our preparation will continue with that goal in mind.”

The only areas for concern were injuries to two of the crew: Justin Slattery and Phil Harmer, sustained during the 1,800 nautical mile round trip and their Volvo Ocean 65 boat Azzam had some mechanical faults to fix.
