Cyclone Phet is threatening severe weather of the coast of India in the Arabian Sea. A severe weather warning from the Indian Meteorological Department was issued on June 3rd 2010 and is as follows:

Heavy Rainfall Warning
Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall will occur over Assam & Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh over the next 48 hours.
Cyclone Warning
Sea conditions will be rough to very rough along and off the Gujarat coast and adjoining North Arabian Sea during the next 48 hours. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea off this coast.
Thunderstorm / Squalls
Thunderstorms and squalls may occur at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal & Sikkim and Orissa during the next 48 hours.
