16/11/22 – Can we keep 1.5 C alive? – Met Office Climate Change

Met Office – UK Weather published this video item, entitled “16/11/22 – Can we keep 1.5 C alive? – Met Office Climate Change” – below is their description.

A new Met Office study highlights the need for urgent, rapid & immediate emission reductions to avoid overshoot of 1.5°C threshold and the resulting additional burden for future generations.

The study shows pledges to cut emissions agreed at #COP26 are not likely to be sufficient to restrain global temperature rise to 1.5°C

In this video, presenter Alex Deakin explains how more ambitious pledges could make a difference.
