A depression in the Arabian Sea will increase intensity over the next 72 hours with winds peaking at gusts of up to 85 kmph on late Monday, early Tuesday. The depression will become a cyclonic storm, moving towards the Omani coast. Pressure at the centre of the storm is around 998 HPA and seas near the centre are very rough. The Indian government has warned fishermen not to venture out along and off the Maharashtra, Gujarat and Karnataka coasts as well as the area around Lakshadweep during the next 24 hours.
