Rugby Union: Andrew Sheridan to Return in England v New Zealand

Andrew Sheridan for England
Andrew Sheridan - returns to England action this weekend

England prop Andrew Sheridan is set to return to international action in this Saturday’s eagerly anticipated opening Autumn International fixture against New Zealand at Twickenham.

Sheridan will replace loose-head prop Tim Payne in the starting XV, in what will be his first appearance for his country since a 2009 Six Nations cap against Scotland.

Besides Sheridan’s addition to the team, England name an otherwise unchanged starting line-up to that which faced and beat Australia in June.

England will play New Zealand – who lost their first test match for 16 games against Australia last week – on Saturday November 6th at 14:30 GMT, at Twickenham.

England Squad to Face New Zealand: Ben Foden (Northampton); Mark Cueto (Sale), Mike Tindall (Gloucester), Shontayne Hape (Bath), Chris Ashton (Northampton); Toby Flood (Leicester), Ben Youngs (Leicester); Andrew Sheridan (Sale), Steve Thompson (Leeds), Dan Cole (Leicester), Courtney Lawes (Northampton), Tom Palmer (Stade Francais), Tom Croft (Leicester), Lewis Moody (Bath, capt), Nick Easter (Harlequins)

Replacements: Dylan Hartley (Northampton), David Wilson (Bath), David Attwood (Gloucester), Hendre Fourie (Leeds), Danny Care (Harlequins), Charlie Hodgson (Sale), Delon Armitage (London Irish).
